A psychological evaluation can help you understand your child’s strengths and areas where they need additional support. Following completion of an evaluation, you will walk away with individualized recommendations for your family and a clear plan of how to help them.
-
Prior to beginning an evaluation, you will complete an intake questionnaire describing your goals and concerns that have led to you seeking an evaluation. Based upon that information, we will develop an assessment plan for the evaluation that will generally include:
Intake interview with parents and/or child
Completion of rating scales by parents, children, and sometimes teachers
Review of past relevant medical background or evaluations
In-person testing to assess cognitive and learning abilities
Following the completion of all testing, you will attend a parent-only feedback session where we will go over the results of the evaluation including any diagnoses and recommendations made based upon the evaluation. You will receive an electronic copy of the report for your records.
-
The cost of a comprehensive evaluation is $2500 and includes as assessment of your child’s current symptoms as well as any other potential areas of concerns. While I am out-of-network with all insurance companies, I do offer a superbill upon request. I am also able to split the cost of the evaluation into two payments.

Our assessments and evaluations are individualized which means we do not give every child the same assessment measures, but instead choose the measures that are the best fit for your child. Some common measures we utilize include: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition, Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Fourth Edition, Behavior Assessment System for Children, Conners Rating Scales.
