5 Love Languages For Kids

You’ve probably heard of the 5 love languages…

Gary Chapman, Ph.D. is well-known for his book The 5 Love Languages. He believes that we all express love and experience it in 5 different ways. But everyone has one way that matters most.

It’s not enough to love your kids, but it’s important to know how to communicate love to your child in a way that they can accept.

The first step is to figure out what your child’s love language is by taking this quiz.

Which one of these 5 love languages does your child respond best to?

  1. Physical Touch: Hugs, high fives, and physical closeness.

  2. Quality Time: One-on-one special time with kids where it is all about them.

  3. Words of Affirmation: Giving kids specific praise and affirming what they are good at.

  4. Meaningful gifts: Gifts that hold memories and affirm something we know about them.

  5. Acts of service: Kids who love when you occasionally do things for them like making a special dinner.

Knowing about your child’s love language can help share your love with them in a way that is special for them. Enjoy this Valentine’s Day by learning more about your child’s love language and showing them you love them in their own way.
